( IN Store )

Stock plan:

A retail store occasionally runs out of certain items. This happens for a number of reasons: unexpected popularity of a particular item, such as one that has attained fad appeal among schoolchildren; an unusually large purchase, such as buying up all of a store’s hotdog buns for a party; or a failure by the manufacturer to make and ship on time certain items. Stock control is a way the retailer avoids running out of stock through tracking what is on hand, what has been sold and what is on order & of course it makes an inventory easier.

The retail inventory consists of what products are on the store shelves plus the products in boxes in the storage room. As customers deplete the stocked shelves, more stock comes out of storage to replace what has been sold. Keeping track of the inventory on hand allows the store owner or manager to know when to order additional stock of the items before they sell out.

This will be more effective for the management team to control any shipment & for the staff to know what they have.

Visual Merchandising:

Visual merchandising is a profession that involves displaying merchandise in a store in a way that elicits a positive image of the store, gets customers’ attention and entices them to buy. Visual merchandising starts on the outside of the store or its exterior presentation and carries on to the interior presentation. It may involve the ability to create window displays in fashionable colors and patterns that make customers think the store has what they’re looking for and the art of creating other types of displays or dressing mannequins. Keeping up with trends and fashions in the design industry can be useful for these purposes. Visual merchandising also includes determining in-store traffic flow patterns to calculate the best places to put displays so the greatest number of people will see them.

To apply this, we have 5 elements of VM:

  1. Remember the color is king.
  2. Create a focal point.
  3. Tell a story.
  4. Expose customers to the maximum amount of merchandise.
  5. Use empty space.

Store knowledge:

This point is so important because this will make any team able to control his resources inside the store based on the tools like the floor capacity, stock capacity, the fixtures and so on.

( IN Operations )

Control sheets:

  • This will help us to control many important points like the attendance & commitment.
  • To planning the target and achieve it.
  • To know the daily tasks and handover.
  • To know who is the response about the stock.
  • To know who is the response about the display.
  • To make a rotation plan.
  • To evaluate everyone.

Analysis:

Businesses across all sectors and industries collect data and perform data analysis, to better understand their customers and business processes, in an effort to boost productivity, reduce expenditure and gain competitive advantage.
As retail market becomes increasingly competitive with mass offshore production and global retail conglomerates driving down prices, the ability to optimize your supply chain, react quickly to market place opportunities and satisfy customer expectations has never been more important. Therefore, accessing and maximizing the knowledge within retail data sets has never been more important.

Surveys:

The surveys will make us able to know where we are in market, especially because there are many changes in Egyptian retail market.

It makes us know our competitor, our customer impression, etc.

  • Surveys about another store.
  • Surveys about the prices.
  • Surveys about the collections.
  • Surveys about the customers feedback & impression.

( IN Customer Relations Management )

Customer service:

Customer service skills in stores mainly involve knowing how to read a shopper quickly & accurately, turning general browsers into true shoppers helps a shop boost profits and build a return customer base, as well as being ready to help the customer find what they need, will help the store reputation grow in a positive light.

We have 4 ways to do perfect customer service:

Show the available merchandise

For instance, shoppers want to see the options available but often don’t trust their own judgment on what is nice or in style, find items that are similar to what the shopper is currently wearing in style, price & color, give the customer several sample to try on, showing a customer, a price increases the odds that the piece well sell.

Make a suggestion

Gauge your customers style and taste and make suggestions regarding places that will flatter the wearer, taller, slimmer shoppers will look better in certain pieces than shorter, curvier ones and vice versa, guide your shoppers to pieces that will make them look bet by telling them which pieces are particularly flattering to their body style or coloring or hair style.

Be honest but flattering

If a piece is too small or too large, tell the customer this, but do so very gently and tactfully, mention that It looks too tight or too long in the shoulders,

Always blame the item for it not fitting right, never the customer body shape.

Offer to assist

The moment a customer walks into your shop offer to assist her, greeting – say something along the lines of (may I help you find something today) this for example.

All this process is for example and there is many ways to apply the high customer service by training – courses – our tools.

 Customer data:

Customer Data Management (CDM) is a solution mechanism in which an organization’s customer data is collected, managed and analyzed. CDM is geared toward resolving customer requirements and issues while enhancing customer retention and satisfaction, allowing an organization to convert customer data into Customer Intelligence.

  • Categorization: Customer data is classified and sub-classified.
  • Correction: Collected data is verified for accuracy and consistency. When necessary, contact details are updated, and duplicate records are removed.
  • Enrichment: Incomplete data is collected and completed.
  • Collection: Customer data and insight activity is collected via a customer feedback system or sources, like sales, customer support, surveys, reports, newsletters and other customer interactions.
  • Organization: Customer data is organized and shared throughout an organization.

Promotions & offers:

The most important purpose that a promotion serves is that it sets a business apart from its competitors. No business will ever need to run any promotions if there wasn’t any competition. You have to stay ahead of your competitors in order for customers to keep doing business with you. If there is a company that sells similar products or services to yours, you can only make customers buy from you if you have a special promotion going on. Of course, it is also equally important to spread the word about promotion to the people by using several advertising and marketing methods.

Promotions also allow you to make use of your available data and create more useful data from it. As you continue to do business, you collect information of thousands of customers. By using the right database software, you can know the trends, patterns and inclinations of your customers. By using this data, you can launch targeted promotions. By further collecting data of the promotion you can know your customers better. When you know them better, you can launch more successful promotions. In addition to that, when there is something available only for a limited time, customers like to talk about it.

( IN Marketing )

Marketing is one of the most important things a business can do. Not only does marketing build brand awareness but it can also increase sales, grow businesses and engage customers. There are so many core business functions that stem from a good marketing plan and of course there is an income.

Fashion shows & events:

Fashion shows create a platform to connect brand to their consumers.

They are regularly put on to express and unveil to an audience the recent fashion trends. Though trends and styles keep changing between the seasons, it’s the job of the brand to create or in many cases recreate looks that will be the ‘IT’ looks for the season.

Having a fashion show as a brand or designer is major to the success of the company.

Marketing campaign:

The campaign always wants to achieve the following three results: a well-targeted message that reaches the previously defined target audience, a message that is understood by that audience and a message that encourages those recipients to perform one or more actions.

Therefore, it becomes evident that a campaign cannot be conceived without prior research, so that a perception of the company/brand’s position in the market can be developed and a target audience defined, thus making it possible to delineate an entire marketing strategy.

After this research, it is important to create a marketing plan that defines and organizes the idea of the campaign, as well as the actions to be taken, all of them classified with due priority. Finally, the execution of the campaign itself begins.

The digital marketing:

Digital marketing, the promotion of products or brands via one or more forms of electronic media, differs from traditional marketing in that it uses channels and methods that enable an organization to analyze marketing campaigns and understand what is working and what isn’t – typically in real time.

Digital marketers monitor things like what is being viewed, how often and for how long, sales conversions, what content works and doesn’t work, etc. While the Internet is, perhaps, the channel most closely associated with digital marketing, others include wireless text messaging, mobile instant messaging, mobile apps, podcasts, electronic billboards, digital television and radio channels, etc.

Social media itself is a catch-all term for sites that may provide radically different social actions. For instance, Twitter is a social site designed to let people share short messages or “updates” with others. Facebook, in contrast is a full-blown social networking site that allows for sharing updates, photos, joining events and a variety of other activities.
